Prof. Qian Ping was graduated from Tong Ji University in 1982. He received his master degree from Shanghai University in 1991. Now he serves as the executive vice-dean of Electronic & Electric Engineering Institute, director of Engineering Training Lab, executive vice-dean of SEI, academic leader of Electrical Engineering in SIT, assessment experts of Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology, vice-chairman of National Electrical Engineering Institute in Application-Oriented University, and member of Chinese/Shanghai Power Supply Institute.

He focuses his researches on the soft electronic switch & driver technology, and designed a number of high power drivers & powers supplies. He also wrote some books on electronic drivers.

Prof. Qian organized many projects such as "Vertical Axis Hybrid Photovoltaic-Wind Power Generation System", "Low Power LED Controller", "Research on Low Power Soft Switch Power Supply", "Low Cost AC Motor Servo Controller", "Remote Diagnose System for AC Servo Control System" with the support from Shanghai Committee of Science and Technology.

He also organized other projects such as "Digital Motor Controller", "Design of LED Drivers", and “Research on Self-Adaptive Dual-Feedback Wind Power Generator System" for enterprises.
