Prof. Zhou XiaoLi

Prof. Zhou XiaoLi is the vice-dean of EII, and provost of SIT. She received her bachelor’s degree from Dalian Polytechnic University in 1982. Now she serves as the provost of SIT, academic leader of Food Science and Engineering in SIT, senior member of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, standing director of Shanghai Food Institute.

Prof. Zhou focuses her research on new food resources & functional food, and has organized /participated in a number of research projects supported by national/province-level Committee of Science and Technology.

Now she has hold four national invention patents and is still applying for another three. More than 40 of her papers have been published these years.

Course construction & text book compiling: Prof. Zhou once organized the construction of Food Technology course, and gained Shanghai Outstanding Course Reward in 2008. She also organized the constructions of some advanced food technology laboratories.
